I saw the long-tailed sylph in Ecuador last year. I saw one in Colombia this year, at Montezuma Rainforest Lodge. I believe both were of the same subspecies, emmae, although the photo I got this year has the best view of the backside of the tail which is a deep blue, and more like the subspecies kingii, but that subspecies is found in the eastern Andies of Colombia. My first post did not include a range map, so I include it here as well as my photo this year.

I don't think this hummingbird species had the LONGEST tail we saw, but it was impressive.
