Bladderpod Spiderflower

On my Covid-desert excursions this spring I ran into one bladderpod spiderflower plant, on April 25th.
This is the one badderpod spiderflower plant I saw.
It is very distinctive with yellow flowers with four petals and six long protruding stamens, some looking like frogs tongues reaching out to grab insects, and others like beggars reaching out for a handout. The fruit is a seed pod that looks like sweet peas with peas inside.

  1. Pretty cool looking plant, but the name wins the prize for best name.
