Hermit Thrush

On a visit to Big Morongo Canyon on October 29 I saw a hermit thrush for the first time. It has brown upperparts (more gray/brown in the west and olive/brown in the east) with a reddish tail. Its underparts are white with dark spots on the breast and gray or brownish flanks. It has pink legs and a white eye-ring.  It is the state bird of Vermont. 
On December 15 I was at Mojave Narrows Regional Park in Victorville and saw another hermit thrush. See below.
