Cape Bushbuck

Since I did a post on the bushbucks we saw in Eastern Africa, I find that the one species has been split into two separate species: (a) the Cape bushbuck or imbabla; and (b) the harnessed bushbuck or kewel. Both on our previous trip and this trip, we were seeing the Cape bushbuck.
We only saw them right near the Hide, where we were staying in Hwange NP, Zimbabwe.
I just share some pictures. It is one of the most beautiful antelope. I love the chestnut color, the white vertical stripes, the dotted horizontal strip and dotted circle and the other patches of white.

  1. This guy looks like he has visited the face painting booth at a carnival, but they did his whole body instead. Beautiful animal.
