Judy arranged to have new sod put into our backyard and one morning we went out and were shocked to find it rolled back.  Our neighbor told us it was raccoons looking for grubs.

The live-trap we set for the raccoons has only managed to catch one unhappy opossum.
I transported the opossum into the canyon near our home and let it free.
It immediately scampered up a large oak and hid in the leaves near the top.

It was fun to have a close encounter with an opossum, but the raccoons are still wreaking havoc on our sod.

Stay tuned.

  1. I'm so done. Our yard is getting destroyed, not just in the area you show here, but in other places where we can't just put the sod back in place. I used to love raccoons, but that love is slowing morphing into a much less desirable emotion.
