When we visited Ecuador last year my favorite hummingbird was the white-necked Jacobin, particularly the fabulously colored male. On our recent trip to Colombia we saw more of them, at both Tinamu Reserve and Montezuma Rainforest Lodge. My photos are not as good and I was focused on seeing new hummingbirds, but these old friends were still amazing. Some of my photos follow:
