Xian, Shaanxi, China is home to the world renowned terra cotta warriors, something I have wanted to see for many years. We did in September 2017 and they are amazing.

What I did not expect was that the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Xian would be one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in. Not only was the room very nice, but the restaurant had great variety. We ordered one evening meal when we arrived, for which I have no photos, and the buffet was outstanding.

Really a fantastic hotel, and besides the comfort and the wonderful food, it was in a neighborhood that was fun to walk around.
