Red-Crested Pochard

While in Basel, Switzerland recently, I saw a duck I've not seen before, a red-crested pochard.
It was a beautiful adult male with a red bill, black breast, rounded orange head, white flanks, brown back and black tail. They breed in southern Europe and Central Asia and winter in India and Africa. The female (visible in the upper left-hand corner) lacks the color, but has a dark brown crown with pale grey on the face and front of neck.
