I saw lots of blue-gray tanagers in Ecuador and more in Colombia, at both Tinamu Reserve and Montezuma Rainforest Lodge. Because I'd seen them before and they were so common, I didn't take many photos.

I loved these little birds. They are flashy without being flashy, meaning they are easily seen against the green, and they are beautifully colored, but they aren't iridescent or splashed with boldly contrasting colors. I think they are quite elegant.
