St. Andrews, New Brunswick - Passamaquoddy Bay and Bay of Fundy

In August 2018 Judy, Andrew and I scheduled a tour with Quoddy Link Marine, Inc. for an approximate 3 hour whale and wildlife cruise. We left a wharf in St. Andrew's Harbor on a large, two-deck, catamaran and traveled through Passamaquoddy Bay out into the Bay of Fundy and back again. I've been on boat tours where we've seen whales in Reykjavik, Iceland and Homer and Seward, Alaska and this was by far the best for sighting whales - we saw lots of humpback whales and got quite close to them. We also saw some seals and birds. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Judy's description of this excursion is here.

  1. This was a great whale-watching experience. It was fun to be in a smaller boat and so close to multiple huge whales. I don't think I paid quite as much attention to the birds as you did.
