House Sparrow

After posting my first photos of a house sparrow last month in Colorado,  I got better photos of a house sparrow in Coachella, California last Saturday. For such a mundane, common bird, probably considered a pest, it is quite beautiful.

    So much detail in the face and feathers--not dull at all when you can look at it close up.
